AEG Landslides Super School
November 3-5, 2026
Denver West Marriott, Golden, Colorado
The landslide super school will include two classroom days and one field day to give attendees a depth of knowledge in landslide identification, characterization, and mitigation. Planned topics include landslide susceptibility and inventories, morphology and landforms, data collection and investigation, and stability modeling and mitigation design.
The speaker roster will draw on the depth of local expertise while also incorporating nationally and/or internationally recognized experts to ensure a broad and diverse perspective. The presentations will reflect the full spectrum of landslide practice, including geomorphology, remote sensing, site characterization and investigation, numerical modeling, societal impacts, risk assessment, and mitigation strategies. The field component will include stops at notable local landslides to observe landslide features and morphology, damage to structures and infrastructure, and mitigation efforts.
